For the performance til it tilts at settantaventidue, Peter Strickmann will carefully and secretly prepare the concert space with quasi-magic tricks, playful surprises, and a bucket full of absent sounds, setting the stage for a music that exists somewhere between object theater, musical improvisation, and listening exercise. Strickmann will perform with a living assemblage of his self-built wind and percussion instruments, feedback manipulations, and simple prepared objects. Most of these sonic companions seem to have a mind of their own, resisting complete control and allowing chance and mishap to shape the unfolding of the piece inside the prepared space …until something tilts.
Peter Strickmann is a Berlin based soundartrist and performer. He studied Audiovisual Art with Christina Kubisch at HBK Saarbrücken, runs an ever-growing Schnarcharchiv (snoring archive) and performs solo and collectively with his various self built wind- and percussion-instruments. He performed at festivals like audiograft (UK), Seanaps (D), Delta Wave (BE), blurred edges (D), The Listening Biennial (intl.), Musikfestival Bern (CH) and published his solo and group-sounds on labels like Ana Ott, 901 Editions, Rayon, meudiademorte, Stenze Quo, econore, Discreet Archive and SPAM.
The program is curated by Giuseppe Ielasi.
The artists will perform live unpublished and unregistered works. The artist will perform in Noiseless using the specifically designed Futura Research amplification system.
